About The First Words Kit

The First Words Kit was designed as an at-home supplement to professional speech therapy that would support single word vocabulary growth.

The premise of the kit is to teach a combined print and spoken vocabulary of day to day nouns and verbs through a variety of heavy exposure activities and environmental print.

Speech therapists will tell you that a child needs to know and approximately 50 words before beginning to combine the words into phrases and sentences.

This kit provides the tools to teach over 120 functional words and sets the stage for phrases!
